About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Gypsum Carpenter to join our team. The Gypsum Carpenter will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of gypsum board and related materials on construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Requirements
1. Measure, cut, and install gypsum board and related materials according to project specifications.
2. Construct walls, ceilings, and partitions using gypsum board and metal framing.
3. Install insulation and vapor barriers as needed for soundproofing and moisture control.
4. Apply joint compound and tape to seams and corners to create smooth, seamless surfaces.
5. Repair damaged or defective gypsum board and related materials as required.
6. Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and installation requirements.
7. Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations and quality standards.
8. Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors on site to coordinate work activities and ensure timely completion of projects.
9. Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in a clean and organized manner.
